Born 1950, Solentiname, Rio San Juan. The leading Nicaraguan painter of naturalist landscape, she is self-taught and has achieved fame for her intricate, detailed paintings of the tropical forest and fauna in the island of Solentiname. She has exhibited in Europe, Latin America, Japan and Russia.
